It is important for us to find a team member with a positive, friendly, customer service attitude to work with us and take amazing care of our customers.
MORNING / PRE-OPEN
Responsibilities:
Assist with baking pastries for the day Prep front for opening - arrange all baked goods on front counter, make drip coffee, restock, ensure caf atmosphere is set up, straighten tables and chairs, etc.
DAILY RESPONSIBILIES:
Interact with customers in a warm and welcoming way, assist with their order, including checking them out using our Square POS and packaging their baked goods and coffee Ensure Barista is accurately informed of all espresso drinks ordered Re-stock pastries throughout the day Maintain a clean front of the house for customers to enjoy END OF THE DAY

Clean the front of the house - clean out coffee pots, take out trash, sweep / vacuum the front, clean the bathroom, straighten up the outside patio / garden area, etc Restock hard goods (bags, coffee cups / lids, etc.
) in prep for the next day ON-GOING

Assist with inventory management on a daily / weekly basis Assist in the bakery kitchen as needed REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:
Service industry experience required with a strong desire for restaurant experience Ability to learn the food menu and respond to customer questions, including allergy related questions Strong customer service personality and experience is required Willingness to go above and beyond for both the team and customers Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while showing focus on accuracy and quality of service TIPS certification is a plus (will be required of the role, so we will provide if hired candidate has not obtained this in the last year) SCHEDULE:
We are looking for someone who is flexible with their schedule as the year progresses.
Summer hours will always be high, including overtime when needed, and hours will reduce after October.
The initial schedule from August to the end of October will be:
Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday from 5:
30am - 3:
30pm and Friday from 5:
30am - 2:
30/3pm.
After October, hours will reduce based on business needs, but minimum schedule will include Friday from 5:
30am - 2:
30/3pm and Saturday / Sunday from 5:
30am - 3:
30pm.
We close the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas, but prep work may be needed in the bakery kitchen.
The Bakery & Caf closes for 2-3 weeks in January, but other than that we are open year-round.
We are open to spitting this role into 2 part-time hires, so if this schedule doesn't work for you in total but are interested in the role let us know.
PAY FOR THE ROLE:
This is an hourly role and is eligible for the shared tips pool.
The hourly rate for this role is $13/hr and with tips our employees have made between $18.
80 - $25.
30 per hour in total.
WHY IS THIS POSITION AVAILABLE? The person in this role today will be relocating to California to join her husband for his next assignment with the Navy.
Her last day with us will be August 13th, but we'd like to hire someone as soon as possible to allow for some transition.
